Molly - USA
When the Lord gifts someone with particular passions, He has a way of moving them into positions of leadership. As a Young Leader, Molly poured herself into the Campus Life program of Youth for Christ in Grand Rapids, Michigan. However, that is not where she remained.

Adopt a Young Leader
ROI (Return on Investment)
The investment of developing and empowering a Young Leader is far reaching and will impact many. It's like launching a stone into a lake; the stone hits the surface for only a moment, but the ripples configure and expand across the water. As each Young Leader proceeds through the Young Leader Development and Empowerment process, their training will be immediately translated into application as they implement coaching and mentoring in ministry to others. All of this will be accomplished with the support and accountability of their own mentor.
2 yr. Process
The 2-year process is rigorous in its commitment. The design of the process is predominantly experiential and will be sustained relationally. The desired outcome is that commitment to this process will drive each Young Leader to action. To truly be effective, knowledge needs to be applied not just stored.

Adopt a Young Leader
A number of years ago God challenge YFC as a movement to develop young leaders and allow them to lead our movement into the future. Since that time we have been working on a process to identify, mobilize and empower young leaders into strategic leadership roles world-wide.
This leadership empowerment process is now ready to be implemented. We have asked each of our National Directors to identify at least five of the very best of their young leaders and enroll them in a two-year leadership development program that will commence in 2008. We expect around 500 young leaders to be enrolled worldwide. Each young leader will be taken on a journey of training and development including biblical studies, spiritual formation, cross-cultural mission, and youth ministry leadership skills development – all provided in a supportive mentoring and coaching environment. At the end of the process each participant will be assigned a strategic leadership role in YFC.
A crucial part of this leadership empowerment process involves bringing all these young leaders together in Johannesburg, South Africa in September 2008, for an intensive time of training, equipping, mentoring, community building, inspiration and connection with the worldwide family of YFC.
Each of these young leaders is a potential world-changer. We can only begin to imagine the impact of empowering such a significant number of godly, committed, gifted young people into strategic leadership roles worldwide.

- David Wraight
President
This is a huge undertaking by YFC and we need your support. The cost of putting each of these young leaders through the two-year YFC Leadership and Empowerment Process is US$4,000. All the young leaders selected will be required to raise $500 of this cost, but we are trying to cover the remaining $3,500 through sponsorships. We have recently launched the YFC Adopt a Young Leader program and are seeking individuals, couples, businesses, churches and youth groups who will adopt a young leader and cover the $3,500 cost.
Please join with us to empower these strategic young leaders into significant leadership roles worldwide.
