YFCI AFRICA OFFICE

• Admire the Almighty One for faithful staff in the Area office. Trust the Spirit for guidance as they do their daily tasks.
• Appreciate the King of kings for the lovely trip Thomas had to Mauritius recently. Continue praying for a smooth change over of leadership at the Area level [Thomas will step down end of this month to hand over to Hilary] and also pray for the staff affected by this.
• We are grateful for the way the Lord is providing for ministry in Africa. Please trust HIM with us for enough funds and resources to do effective ministry on this continent.
• Submit now already the planned YFC Africa Intern National Director [ND] training in November in Botswana unto God, organising, provision, etc.
• Thank the Father for committed people serving in YFC all over Africa. Pray for God’s leading and direction as we look for a Liason Director to help us develop a better support base.

AFRICA LEADERSHIP TEAM [ALT]

• Thank the Lord for willing members on the ALT. Ask Him for good health for all of them.
• Honour the Father for safe travels and for keeping their loved ones safe in their absence. Trust God to provide finances enabling them to attend ALT meetings and to visit the nations in their regions, also for safe travels.
• We are grateful for a very fruitful ALT meeting last month. Intercede for the ALT for wisdom and guidance in all they must do, especially to implement assignments from the last meeting.

WEST AFRICA ANGLOPHONE REGION

West Africa Director: Hilary Lewis-Nichol [Melrose]

• Praise the Lord for a good trip for Hilary to Ghana recently. Entrust his upcoming trip to the USA into the Lord’s hands.
• Thank God for the work of YFC in the West Africa Region. Ask Him to guide Hilary in his position as regional director.
• Glorify Jesus for His goodness towards the Lewis-Nichol family. Pray for the National Leaders that they find practical ways of raising funds to do ministry.
• Intercede for us for guidance to do effective pioneering into Togo, Senegal and Cameroon.

EAST AFRICA REGION

East Africa Director: Jean Baptiste Mugarura [Marina]

• Praise the Lord for the safe arrival of the Mugarura family back in Rwanda. Pray that JB will be able to adjust quickly back into the ministry and pray for wisdom for him and his team as they serve in YFC Rwanda.
• Trust our Father to prepare a person to take over from him as the Regional director for the East Africa Region.
• Ask the Holy Spirit for guidance for Jean Baptiste as he serves on the International Board of Trustees.

FRANCOPHONE REGION

Francophone Director: Josue Akowanou [Prisca]

• Trust God for peace in Niger, Togo and Cote d’Ivoire and pray for protection for ND’s, their staff and families.
• Ask the Father for many open doors for YFC ministry in all the Francophone countries.
• Pray that the Father will guide Josue so that he will be a role model in the region and also have a good relationship with all the Boards and ND’s.
• Trust Jesus for strength, health, spiritual growth and financial provision for Josue & Prisca.

SOUTHERN REGION [SR]

• Honour the Father for lovely ministry opportunities all-over the region. Ask HIM for a successful Southern Region Staff Conference starting 27 September; ask that it would be possible for many staff to attend.
• Praise Jesus for His faithfulness. Trust God for a secretary in the SR office, also for funds to serve the countries well.
• Appreciate the Everlasting King for committed people serving in the Region. Stand with us in prayer for the ministry of YFC to flourish in all 10 the nations.
• Glorify Jesus for a good visit to Zambia last month. Submit now already the planned YFC Africa Intern National Director [ND] training in November in Botswana unto God, organising, provision, etc.

EAST INDIAN OCEAN ISLAND REGION

Island Nations Director: David Kadalie [Denise]

• Trust Jesus for wisdom for the pioneering plans we have to enlarge our vision on the islands and for young leaders in all the identified areas.
• We are grateful for prayer and financial supporters, for both personal and ministry. Pray that He will keep on providing everything the Kadalie’s need.
• Glorify Jesus for faithful staff and volunteers serving HIM on the islands. Ask HIM for good health, wisdom and strength for David & Denise.

OPERATION PIONEER

An extensive pioneering effort by YFC Africa to pioneer 11 countries in the next 5 years.

• Pray that an effective YFC ministry will be started in Cameroon, Central African Republic, Comoros, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Niger, Reunion, Senegal, Seychelles, Sudan, Tanzania & Zanzibar and Togo.
• Ask God for wisdom for the countries or offices that are going to twin up with these 11 nations to develop a ministry. [Nigeria –Cameroon, Area Office-Central African Republic, Ghana-Togo, Benin-Niger, Regional Island office-Reunion, Gambia-Senegal, Kenya-Tanzania/Zanzibar, Rwanda & Burundi-DR Congo, Uganda-Sudan, Madagascar-Comoros and Mauritius-Seychelles]
• We are grateful for funding that already came in for this project. Trust our Provider for more funds to execute pioneering in all 11 countries, trust God that all the nations in Africa would be able to contribute towards this project.
• A Pioneering conference will take place Lord Willing April 2011. Submit the organising of this huge event into the Father’s hands.

PROJECT SERVE [PS] TEAMS TO AFRICA

• Pray for the development of YFC Canada’s World outreach department – wisdom & discernment to make effective long term plans.
• Ask the Spirit for wisdom for the leaders of PS Canada, as they want to help even more in Africa.
• Pray for guidance for PS leaders in the USA regarding teams to Africa.

ANGOLA

• Thank God for a committed National Board. Intercede for them for wisdom in their daily tasks; also ask for guidance for Graciano and his family as he is in Cape Town for an International Sport Leadership School.
• Admire the Father for faithful staff and volunteers. Pray that we will have enough funds for our young leaders to go to South Africa for the Staff Conference.
• We are grateful for the fruitful training week in evangelism and discipleship for YFC Lubango. Trust the Lord for an effective Training Week in Bie for the volunteers.
• Glorify Jesus for answering our prayers; He blessed us with some money for office rent and satisfactory information regarding the farm situation. Ask God to guide Chinoia in his training opportunities in Bie and Benguela.

BENIN

• Appreciate the Lord for good ministry in schools. Trust HIM for much needed staff support and finances to cover ministry costs.

• Praise the Lord for the piece of land that we have. Ask our Provider to help us to develop this land into a training centre.

BOTSWANA

• Praise the Lord for committed staff and National Board members. Pray that the Spirit will guide staff, volunteers and Board members in their daily tasks, especially a deep relationship with HIM.
• We are grateful for the faithfulness of our Father. Ask God for a lot of wisdom as we, in cooperation with the church in Botswana want to drive Abstinence as a lifestyle for youth in a much more intensive way.
• Thank God for the lovely input of foreign volunteers in our ministry in Botswana. Trust HIM for more nationals to come full time with us, also a national director, office manager, ‘handy man’, financial administrator and a Setswana speaking teacher at the Tapologo Day Care Centre.
• Honour our King that we can reach youth at the Drop In Centre, Kids Clubs, Bible studies, Abstinence clubs and at the Day Care Centre. Submit these youngsters unto Jesus so that they will grow spiritually.

BURKINA FASO

• Thank God that the radio station YFC is involved with is reaching many. Trust the Spirit to speak into the hearts of young listeners to change their ways.
• We are grateful for 7 board members. Ask our Father for funding to complete and renovate our buildings.
• We are grateful for the smooth running of the primary education institution. Intercede for Paul, his family, staff, board members and volunteers, for physical and spiritual well-being.

BURUNDI

• Praise Jesus for Thomas from Canada who will be joining our teaching staff for one year to teach English at the FHS. Ask our Father that Builders without Borders will be able to assist us with the building of the Secondary School.

• Admire God for the opportunity we have to start working in Cameroon. Ask our Father for wisdom for ongoing ministry.

COTE D’IVOIRE [IVORY COAST]

THE GAMBIA

• The schools ministry are growing, praise the Lord for that. Ask Him for more committed volunteers to help us on a weekly basis.
• We continue to thank Jesus for His support through our donors. Trust Him that the Day Care and Nursery Projects will be successful.
• Intercede for the young people in our community clubs to do God’s will for their lives.
• Pray that we will have much wisdom to take the ministry further in our country.

GHANA

• Thank the Lord for the group of students who graduated from the seminary at our Youth Center. Pray for His wisdom and leadership in their lives as they set out to share Jesus with people who have never heard about him all across our country.
• Exalt God for a Youth Centre from where we can minister to the youth of our nation. Submit the computer and typing classes as well as the Skills training to Him.

GUINEA CONAKRY

• Exalt the Lord for faithful Board members. Intercede for the Choreography, Music and Youth clubs so that their ministry will have a positive impact on the youth.
• Submit the process of acquiring registration with Government and the Evangelical Council unto God.
• Lift the nation of Guinea before the altar of our Maker as they are going to the polls 19 September for the second round of presidential elections. There have been a lot of confusion and misunderstanding since the first round in June and things don`t seem very calm.

KENYA

• Appreciate the Faithful One for a supporter who is raising the school fees of Taraja High school boys for next year. Lift our staff, volunteers and board members up to our Father for good health and safe travels.
• We are grateful for a fruitful outreach of our young leaders to Uganda. Intercede for the youth that was reached so that they will remember their commitments and grow spiritually.

LESOTHO

• Thank our Master for His faithfulness. Keep on trusting Jesus for much needed office space for the CPC Ministry, also a bigger office closer to the centre of Maseru for the National Office and for enough finances for ministry.

LIBERIA

MADAGASCAR

• Thank God that the pioneering visit to Ambositra went well and for Mirana’s willingness to start ministry there. Submit this new ministry unto God.
• Praise the Lord for 72 children who come regularly to the discipleship meetings at Fianarantsoa YFC and 46 youngsters who meet on a weekly basis at the YFC centre in Antsirabe to do discipleship. Intercede for staff and volunteers for strength and encouragement.

MALAWI

NIGER

NIGERIA

• We are grateful for active and committed Board members on National and State level. Trust the Spirit for wisdom for these men & women, as they serve alongside us.
• Thank God that it is going well with the sports outreach programme in the Ondo state. Ask the Father that the project to the orphans in Nasarawa State will be effective.
• Appreciate Jesus that we are able to work in 9 of the 23 states of our country. Bring the juvenile ministry in Kaduna to God.

REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA

• YFC Knysna is thankful for a blessed Adventure Outdoor camp with 12 young lads from Marlow. Commit the Family Matters programme to God, that through it parent-child and child-parent relationships be reconciled and that parents and their children would make decisions to be followers of Christ.
• Praise Jesus for His faithfulness to us in ministry. Intercede for the upcoming Staff Conference; the last preparations, safe travels for all and prepared hearts.
• Honour the Father for a lovely time for Rolf, Liz and the 3 Ithemba teams in Germany at their Staff Conference. Trust God for a speedy end to the ongoing government strike as it has got a negative influence on the Peer Education Programme.

RWANDA

• We glorify God for teams from Australia and the USA who visited us in July and the wonderful work that they’ve done. Intercede for peaceful and transparent presidential elections 09 August.
• Honour the Father for a fruitful East Africa coaching workshop held in Kigali. Trust the Lord for enough funds to do our ministry.
• Appreciate our Provider for the lovely East Africa Regional Conference held at RYFC last month. Please pray with us for busses to transport the children to the school and back and for enough furniture for this school, also some sponsors for the needy children.

SENEGAL

SIERRA LEONE

SWAZILAND

• Praise the Lord for the lovely office space we have for at least one year. Ask HIM to help us to utilise this place to it’s fullest potential.
• Glorify the Father for a few committed National Board members. Pray urgently with us that old members who are not committed will step down and allow new God-ordained members to come in and serve.

TANZANIA & ZANZIBAR

TOGO

UGANDA

Miriam Koote

• Glorify God that we could reach out to 397 people of whom 42 received Christ as their Saviour and 23 pledged to abstain until marriage. Intercede for us for wisdom and knowledge as we grow in ministry.
• Appreciate the King of kings for the fruitful ministry of Operation Hannah at Kabwangasi. Trust our Provider for finances needed to build offices in Eastern Uganda and opening a new office in Northern Uganda.
• Appreciate the Faithful One that we could care for 20 pregnant teens of whom 5 gave birth. Pray for normal delivering for the pregnant teens in our care.
• We are grateful for a fruitful outreach of Kenyan young leaders. Intercede for the youth that was reached so that they will remember their commitments and grow spiritually.

ZAMBIA

• Praise the Lord for committed people serving as National Board members. Intercede for wisdom and guidance for them; also ask for new members to be added.
• Honour God for a few faithful volunteers. Intercede for them for guidance in reaching the young people of Ndola.
• We are grateful towards the Lord for His provision. Ask the Spirit for guidance so that the renovations at the YFC house in Ndola will be done well.
• Glorify Jesus for a fruitful visit of the regional director to Ndola. Pray for more full time staff members, especially a person who can serve as ND.

ZIMBABWE

Debbie Brennocks

• Glorify Jesus for every child in the Sandra Jones Children’s Village [SJCV]. Trust HIM for enough finances to buy a lovely property that can host the children’s home, also trust Him for much needed staff salaries.
• We are grateful that some of the children who were very sick are better now. Intercede for all of them to be healed completely, also pray that staff and volunteers will stay healthy and that the diarrhoea and vomiting epidemic in Bulawayo will stop.
• Appreciate our Father for faithful staff and volunteers working in YFC Zimbabwe under difficult circumstances. Pray for Debbie for wisdom in her role as ND.
• Ask God for guidance for the political leaders so that we will have lasting stability in Zimbabwe.
