Partners of YFCI are Invited to South Africa!

Who

Partners of YFC include board members, spouses, current and prospective financial supporters, alumni, and other special guests. It is our desire to bless our partners with a distinctly different spiritual and cultural experience which seldom comes along. You will not forget the memories made and people you will meet from around the world in Africa.

What

The Partner Track of General Assembly 2008 (GA) will give you a first-hand view of how YFC is preparing young leaders for strategic positions of leadership in their respective countries. You will have the opportunity to meet, encourage, and fellowship with 400 current young leaders and 200-300 additional YFC leaders and friends from 80-90 countries while taking in the sights and sounds of South Africa. Enjoy the opening and closing sessions of GA, as well as many selected sessions throughout the week, during which you will experience how God is moving in and through the lives of youth world-wide.

In addition to interacting with YFC staff and young leaders, you will have the opportunity to attend some very special day trips including a safari and an expedition to experience the local cuisine.

When and Where:

GA 2008 will begin with dinner and the opening session on Friday, September 19th and conclude with breakfast on the morning of Friday, September 26th.

The full GA gatherings will take place at South Africa’s YFC-CYARA Training and Conference Centre in Magaliesburg, located 90 minutes northwest of Johannesburg. Magaliesburg is situated in the Hekpoort Valley, a stunningly beautiful area of coniferous forests, crisp streams and rolling hills flanked by the Magaliesburg Mountain Range.

Accommodations:

You will be staying at the Valley Lodge, a charming and tranquil 4-star hotel on the banks of the Magalies River. The Lodge is located only a short drive from the YFC Training and Conference Center with shuttle service provided at no additional cost. Amenities include idyllic surroundings with swimming pool, tennis courts, golf center, gym, bird sanctuary and more. Surrounded by a nature reserve on extensive grounds, this secure, exclusive country hideaway offers 65 individually furnished rooms ensuring the ultimate in comfort. YFC has exclusive use of the entire facility.

Ground transportation to and from Johannesburg International Airport will be provided on the 18th and 19th of September leading up to the event and on the closing day of the event, September 26th.
