Asia Pacific`s Website

Youth For Christ has been active in the Asia-Pacific Area since the late 1940`s, beginning with India YFC in 1947, and by the early 1950`s, YFC had sprung up in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Korea, Sri Lanka, China and Japan. The Pacific Arena of World War II created the impetus and the interest for YFC to begin in these nations. World Congresses were held in Tokyo in 1953 and in Madras, India in 1959.

1.75 billion young people

57 nations

2/3`s of the world`s youth

Over 2/3`s of the youth in the world reside in Asia Pacific countries. Our indigenous YFC ministries across Asia and the Pacific are reaching out to these young people.

The YFC Asia Pacific Area office is part of YFC International. We exist to mobilize the indigenous leaders in Asia and the Pacific to reach youth for Christ. We are engaging, equipping and empowering indigenous leaders. Our hope is that we can help these local leaders effectively reach young people everywhere.

By working together with the local church and other like-minded partners, our desire is to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus who lead by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to the Word of God and prayer, passion for sharing the love of Christ and commitment to social involvement.
