Haiti Response
As reports trickle in from the rubble of what was once Port-au-Prince, Haiti, the casualty count rises and the need for prayer and aid on behalf of the people there, increases.
Youth for Christ is not a Relief or Emergency Response organisation and so have limited resources to make a difference on a large scale. We suggest that you give via WORLD RELIEF or MISSION OF HOPE HAITI to help directly.
Youth for Christ does have ministry in Haiti. However, the ministry centre is in Cape Haitian, some 6-8 hours from Port-au-Prince where the earthquake hit. The Youth for Christ team is responding to the crisis by purchasing relief supplies and delivering them to quake victims in St Marc, that was affected by the quake, and in Cape Haitian. Donations can be given to help Youth for Christ purchase these supplies. If you would like to donate to Youth for Christ ministry in Haiti please click here and note 'Haiti' in the designation box.

World Relief has a long standing presence in Haiti with a great staff. Of the 40 member team, all but two have been accounted for. They have two disaster response teams on the ground to help staff and church partners respond. They are mobilizing churches to distribute basic care kits… blankets, cooking utensils and food for homeless survivors. CLICK HERE to read about World Relief's response and updates. Mission of Hope Haiti is a mission begun by former Youth for Christ staff people, which has grown into a large and effective ministry. Among other ministries, Mission of Hope Haiti operates a hospital that is serving the needs of Haitians injured in the earthquake. We have confidence in Mission of Hope's integrity and their ability to effectively use financial gifts to alleviate the suffering of people in Haiti.
