As you study the life of Jesus, you see the time he invested in his disciples and the way in which he prepared them for ministry. You read similar examples of mentoring and empowerment in the relationships of Paul and Timothy, Elijah and Elisha and many others throughout the Bible. Mentoring is a tried and proven process for preparing a young person for leadership.
In the 2-year Youth for Christ Young Leader Development and Empowerment Process, Young Leaders will be taken through a series of training, development and empowerment initiatives. During the process, they will be engaged in a guided mentor relationship with a veteran national leader. At the end of the two years, each Young Leader will be specifically equipped to serve in a significant leadership role within Youth for Christ.
Youth for Christ's Young Leader Development and Empowerment process is targeting Young Leaders who:
- Lead by their godliness in lifestyle
- Are devoted to the Word of God and prayer
- Have passion for sharing the love of Christ
- Are committed to social involvement
- Are 18-30 years of age
- Are already involved in YFC and have a proven track record in ministry leadership
- Have the potential to take on key leadership roles in national ministry
